Ever since I started playing, the game would crash to desktop after 1~2 hours of playing. Just now, I got an error message for the first time saying, "can't launch client by itself."

I've gone through a number of possible fixes for this including:
  • nVidia Driver: 457.71 (For FFXIV)
  • OS: Windows 10 Pro

  • Compatibility modes (Windows XP Service Packs 2 & 3, Windows Vista Service Pack 3, Windows 7, Windows 8)
  • Running ge.exe as Administrator
  • Disabling fullscreen optimization (though it's in windowed, but, why not)
  • Running Command Prompt and sfc /scannow and /DISM for potential corrupted/damaged system or .NET Framework files
  • Replacing the d3dx9_27.dll and d3dx9d_27.dll files with the d3d9.dll file from system32
  • Ran a CHKDSK for any problems and on the drive GE was placed (D:\)
  • Tried to turn off DEP for GE (it's required, though)
  • Tried extracting the game files to C:\Program Files (x86)\
  • Ran Windows Memory Diagnostic - No errors. (Will try MemTest86 after work)
  • Disabled RAM XMP Profile, manually adjusted timings and voltage
  • Ran MemTest86, no errors through all 4 passes.
  • I've re-downloaded the client through Mega (21-parts) and have been playing for just under 7 hours with no crashing. Issue seems to be fixed. [Edit] After a roughly 12-hour session; a crash. /sob (does anyone else even read this? lol)
  • Disabled Audio Enhancements
  • Added ge.exe to Windows Defender exceptions
  • Re-installed ,NET Framework (possible fix, will check after work)
  • Potentially found the cause; may be a conflict with Wallpaper Engine. [Edit] Nevermind
  • All signs point to constant Access Violation Errors. Need to figure out how to fix that. (EVGA Precision X1 may be a potential cause)
  • Turned off Shader Cache in Geforce settings
There's no error at all, just crashing straight to desktop. Anyone else getting this, or understand what the error means? I've attached a screenshot of the error from Event Viewer. It's worth noting that I can crash just about anywhere, but Ancient Skeleton Nest seems to crash me the most.
