I'd like to suggest that a spinel be added for Imperial Guard, Vera at a price of 65m vis, or 500k feso.
  • Description
    • For the final episode of Illisia, it asks for a quest drop from a mini boss in Twisted Time: Imperium Glory. The quest drop is 66% and the mini boss will only spawn 2 hours after all the mobs have been cleared from the zone, and only 3 of them will spawn.
  • Why is the idea good, which current problem does it fix, which mechanic does it improve?
    • It takes roughly an hour to clear all of the mobs in the zone on your own even with end game gear and characters. They all have very high health and are pretty much immune to magic, which means you have to take them one on one or try to clear with a tank. I understand that this encourages team play and partying up, however a lot of people are discouraged from doing this because they do not immediately spawn after the map is cleared. The easiest way is to just keep checking and pray that someone else cleared it and you can leech off their hard work. Its very disheartening when you spend the time and effort to clear the zone on your own, but then come back 2 hours later to see that someone already killed the Vera and left clumps of mobs all over the place. The drop rate is also 2/3, which is unreliable and could mean that you need several cycles to even finish it. Questing is about your solo progression, and I feel quests like these are counter productive to that mentality because of how unreliable it is about the way things spawn in the open world.
  • How urgent is this, rate 1-5 (1 = low, 5 = high)
    • 1
  • Will it affect the game economy?
    • It will add a small vis/feso sink in just like all the other spinels.
  • Will it affect a core feature of the game?
    • Not entirely, clearing the mobs and the Vera in that zone are mostly a community based thing.
  • If we approve it, what will happen?
    • A lot more people will be able to reliably push through the finale of Illisia and get their Eileen and Valeron weapon stones. It could mean that players will finish more easily with their alts, but I feel like the effort needed to work through all the quests up to this point on an alt shouldn't be what discourages this to be denied.
  • If we decline it, what will happen?
    • Honestly, not much. This quest will remain a huge pain and a lot of people will continue to just put it off or leech off the people who clear the zone.

Such a spinel item doesn't exist and I want to stay far away from creating one.
Requires multiple files to be changed, never done before and probably will cause compatibility issues with future official spinelles.

I see, is there a possibility that the spawn rate could be changed or something else?
I don't see a problem with increasing the dropchance of quest item from 66% to 100%.
Improvement will be part of next maintenance.

Sorry to bring up this again. But I was wondering if it is possible to tweak this part of the scenario a little bit more (Aside from the recently adjusted increase in drop rate chance).

If it is possible to automatically trigger the respawn of the mini-boss every 2 hours, regardless If the mobs were cleared out?
If not could we atleast cut down the mobs to kill to like 10-20% of what it is right. (e.g. 50 mobs, maybe just set it to 5-10 mobs instead)

It would really a big help especially to those playing on a different time zone from the server. More often than not, you won't have anyone to assist you to clear out the mobs, because either they are asleep or they are already too exhausted.

I know it's part of the game to have this some sort of extra hard challenges. But it is actually a bit discouraging (at least on my part), you're starting to feel excited because you are almost done with Illisia Scenario (You've been doing it for almost a week now) and them baam you're greeted with this painful part of the quests.

TLDR; What I am hoping here is to have a reliable way to complete/achieve this part of the quest and to tone down the frustration level of this part a bit more. And not the other way around. As I'd like to quote what andithal said "people are discouraged from doing this because they do not immediately spawn after the map is cleared. 1. No, simply too much work.
2. Only if you can list what quest you are refering to and what monsters.

Yeah I figured with all the spaghetti coding of GE, that it would take too much work.

Sorry forgot to indicate, I'm already at the "[Synodia] Need to listen to the end." where in you need to kill Imperial Guard, Vera to get Emperor's Stamp quest item. But In order to get Imperial Guard, Vera to spawn. You need to kill all the monsters (Other Imperial Guard types) first in Twisted Time: Imperium Glory, to trigger the respawn. (Which also does not trigger automatically and would take time some time within a 2 hour time frame)

I wonder if there's another way we can make this a bit more easier or more soloable? Apart from the recent adjustment you guys made by making the drop rate 100%.

Is it too much work too if maybe we can reduce the amount of Mobs (Other Imperial Guard Types) in there? (e.g. from 50 down to 10) In order to trigger the respawn timer.
Or reduce the stats of the these monsters by say 50%? So it would be a lot easier to kill and faster to clear solo.

Edit:
The monster names in Twisted Time: Imperium Glory (The ones needed to all be killed first to trigger the respawn of Imperial Guard, Vera within 2 hour time frame)
Imperial Guard, Kafu
Imperial Guard, Rail
Imperial Guard, Soma
Imperial Guard, Tess

The short and simple answer if it is possible to reducing the amount of monsters required to kill within 2h time frame is no.
Unlike the original accepted change this would take 4-8 hours and has negative side-effects I'd have to fix.

Furthermore I received personal messages on Discord that this quest is supposed to somewhat difficult.

Update: Since there has been a suggestion about monster "Imperial Guard, Vera" on Discord, which doesn't aim towards quest itself but rather about spawntime.
Following change will take place with next maintenance: Reduced spawntime for monster "Imperial Guard, Vera" from 2-4 hours to 1-2 hours.

This will also help players regarding quest, while not making it too easy.
