Drop rates really only x2?

It seems that it's way bigger. Never seen this many items drop in any of the versions I've played.
I'm also seeing +9 items dropping.
Not complaining just curious if this is correct.

Hi, droprate is a very difficult topic since droprate doesn't affect all item drops.
For example roulette drops, drops from raid bosses, Shiny Crystals, Recipes aren't affected.

The "general" droprate is 2x yet the trash drops feel way higher. We are trying to reduce the trash dropsso theres a better feeling overall regarding droprate.

About the upgraded items dropping, this is a custom feature, please refer to this thread.
Weapons (AR 1-26) / Armor (DR 1-26) that drop can have enhancement level between 5+ and +10.
  • Chances vary between 40% for +5 and 1% for +10.
  • Previous behaviour: Weapons/armor that drop has enhancement level 0 (zero).

Unfortunately Shelter of resistance you can’t feel that . Nothing is dropping there at all :( whole night afk and only 20 essences and almost no vis bags

All I can say is that map has 2x droprate AND I increased droprate of Vis Bags and Essences on top of it manually.
I will look into it once more.

Hi , Really doesn't feel like it stared at my screen last night for 20 minutes only saw 1 essence dropping

Drop rate 2x seems too low and doesn't affect to all things. In rGE, even x10 droprate, it takes at least 1 week to farm enough 15k essence for 1 weapon

Diamir higher the drop rate manually I think will be active with Maint .

Drop rate for magichal spere is like original server or more bad, i dont think drop rate is 2x, just marketing lie

Sorry but what? You really think we would go trough the trouble of manually decreasing the drop rate of one certain item on a low-level map?
Why? In case you are new to the server: All items drops except boss drops, roulette and Shiny Crystal have doubled droprate (2x).

Also don't call us liars please, we are giving our best to offer our community a fun experience.

5 hours on skeleton dongeon and no one magical sphere, on GEEU in 5 hours got 50 pcs or more whit same buffs

well i afked there 5 hours too and recieved 10 . With cheapest MEP available & a cockarice pet activated maybe your pet wasn't activated.

A trick for low level zones: it seems drop rate is MASSIVELY affected by level differences. This can make maps such as Skelly Dungeon & Occulta have seemingly low drop rate. Do not go there with High Master characters or such. You should be using a Vet 10 Grace for clearing Skelly Dungeon for optimal drop rates. The same applies for essences sadly, I can get 150 of each every 12 hours with Jaina capped at Master 2 currently, I'm not sure the drop rate will stay that good at Master 10.

Since this rumor won't step I went trough the trouble of checking all files that are relevant and would like to show the result.
There are three possibilites how an item can drop:
1. From a specific monster trough monster files.
Majority of items from normal monsters drop like this. Each monster can drop 6 different items.

2. From a specific monster trough script files.
Minority of items from monsters drop like this. This is often used for special situations like missions or raid bosses.

3. From every monster on a map trough map files.
This is used for maps like dungeons and premium maps (Ancient Dungeons, Sacred Chaos Requiem, etc.)
Item "Magical Sphere" falls into this category.

Item has ClassID="21620", players can look this up file "datatable_item_etc.xml" if they want to. These information are available on the game client.
ClassID="21620" can be found on file "datatable_map.xml" for line 194, 195,196, 198 and 200. Those lines are the Skeleton Dungeon and Ancient Skeleton Dungeon.

Example: DropItem4ID="21620" DropItem4Freq="1000"
This means the chance of the item drop at 1x droprate is 1/1000, so 0,1%.
Due to our 2x droprate the chance is 1/500, which is 0,5%.

This is the highest droprate, for other maps it is lower. These values are official, players can compare them with files from other servers.
Take into account this droprate is without the penalty that might be applied when players use high level characters.
For someone with Level 140 (High Master Level 10) characters the droprate will be penalized down to ~0,05%.

Combine that with the possibility that pet just misses Magical Sphere due to high droprate of other items, the amount of Magical Sphere per hour might be bad.
As suggested by RocGuardian, the way to go is use Veteran Level 10 characters.

The reduction of the spawnrate on those maps is 6,5%.
Compare 100% increased droprate with 6,5% decreased spawnrate, now which effect will be higher?

Anyway today you just lost minimum 1/2 of playbase because they migrate on IMC server because here no one improvement for better play, just another horible server. If i want to see nice server, try JGE and adopt those politics(droprate, stuff in feso shop, RNG mechanics) if you want to keep people here.
