  • Suggesting this because carrying multiple quest items are a big hassle in regards to storage space for your backpack. Was just wondering if we can have a timed item (RGE has a timed item that increases inventory space to 400) or permanent addition to inventory space.
  • Why is the idea good, which current problem does it fix, which mechanic does it improve? It gives more flexibility with how many items you can hold including those you need, you get from loots, and of course, those quest items. (Unless there is a a way to remove the quest items from being added to the total number of items in the backpack
  • Will it affect the game economy? Maybe? Not negatively, its just additional inventory space.
  • Will it affect a core feature of the game? Not in a negative way. It'll make people have longer periods for afking and running around doing quests without having the need to empty up space.
  • If we approve it, what will happen?
  • If we decline it, what will happen?

While the idea itself is good there are two problems.
1. This rewards AFK-playing and has almost no positive effect on active-playing.
This will cause more Vis being generated from SCR afk-leveling with a looting pet, we don't want that.
2. This change would require me to change EVERY script that is related to an item or quest. We are talking about 2000 files here.
Since every item and quest actually checks for the maximum inventory number, this is a nightmare. Whoever designed this needs to be punished.
For usual there would be one central function that is responsible for checking this. But on GE the maximum inventory count is set directly within each script.
