· Add Option to Anvil (or other NPC) to downgrade 5e Elemental Crystals - e.g. Rhodolite, Holy Water, Otite, Petrified Gas, Corazon

  • Option 1: Each level downgrades to a lower level
    • “N” Dazzling Crystal downgrades to X: “N” Crystals
    • “N” Crystal downgrades to X: “N” Dazzling Fragments
    • “N” Dazzling Fragment downgrades to X: “N” Shiny Fragments
    • “N” Shiny Fragment downgrades to X: “N” Pure Fragment
    • “N” Pure Fragment downgrades to X: “N” Refined Fragments
    • “N” Refined Fragment downgrades to X “Y” Origin of Element
  • Option 2: Each “level” of a Crystal could simply downgrade to X*Y Origins of Element

  • Additional Option: Additional materials could be added to a random table of downgrades depending on the “level” and type of the crystal destroyed per the recipe guidelines from Accla NPC in Errac – e.g. Jewel Powder, Archangel Heart, Siren Scale, Growth Stone, Moon Stone, Elemental Jewel, Platinum Bar (though I would hesitate to add vis items to this table).
    • If additional Materials were to be added to downgrades, it could be implemented that downgrading would roll on a random table.
      • This would be similar to downgrading Dragon Heart/HQ Gems.
    • Alternately, the materials procured from downgrading could be set a specific amounts:
      • i.e. Downgrading a Dazzling Rhodolite Crystal could provide a 10xOrigin of Fire Element, 5xArchangel Heart, 50xJewel Powder *(the values would need to be adjusted naturally)
...

Adding this option would ease the burden of crafting 5e Level Accessories by providing additional Origins of Element through downgrading. Also, if other materials are added to the downgrade table, these materials would also decrease in scarcity further easing the difficulty of manufacture of these items. This would also ease the burden of crafting future items that use materials in this table.

A side benefit of having one or more of these downgrade options would allow these items to be placed in Raid Roulettes, and be of greater value than “unusable crafting materials”. Players with little interest in these Items could more easily upgrade or downgrade them into components that they could use or trade.

...

The Urgency of this kind of upgrade would be around 2. It is not sufficiently needed for all players at this time, especially as it currently only pertains to crafting the highest level gear. However, as more players look to craft these items –OR- if more items are added to the game that use these materials… the urgency would naturally increase.

...

Unless Vis items are added to the downgrade table (Elemental Jewels, Platinum bars), the immediate impact to the economy should be negligible. However, the cost and scarcity of Dazzling Crystals and the Items crated by them should decrease over time.

...

The greatest negative impact will be to the exclusivity of the Highest Tier of accessories by making them easier to craft.

...

Once implemented, players with stockpiles of these materials should begin clearing stockpiles of lesser materials in order to gain more Origins of Element (the component that is currently gated to limited daily missions and limited item boxes). More Dazzling Crystals will be created and traded, lowering their cost, and leading to the crafting of more 5e Accessories on the server.
