Greetings, everyone.

I write this thread in order to introduce you to the changes in upcoming PVE characters / stances update. First I would like to share the reasons why do I need to do this for the game to be more interesting.

The hidden limitations of the current character/stance pool

One of the reasons that make GE standout of the other games is its uniqueness in character/stance pool, hundreds of available characters to build a team you want to use at will make the game looks interesting at first but that is not something that happened in real game lately because IMC keep pushing a good/great characters/stances behind the label called Rare NPC that comes with unrivaled stances and leave old characters/stances no reason to be pick off, Which lower the variety of choices for player to have fun with old characters they loved and that is also kill the unique selling point of GE.

Introduce the RE: PvE season

In order to solve the above statement, one thing I can do is to rolling changes to existing characters/stances over time. This aims to re-value all available characters or expert stances onward for them to be able to use in PVE contents again while they may or may not be strong like future characters that IMC tuning to be overpower but at least they will have a potential to be playable not to just left dusting in Barrack

To keep it short what I'm planning to do are as follows

1. Keep updating older characters / stances to be more relevant to current contents over time (only PVE side), every week patch will introduce new changes to 1-2 characters.
2. Trying to push auto-attack based characters to be able to keep up with skill based characters.
3. Introduce some new mechanics that is not depends entirely on extra [STAT] purely to make it more fun to play.

That's all for RE: PvE season introduction which I will start rolling changes starting from this week.

Let's discuss.

Two areas to consider in making changes to older toons, especially changes that could affect the basic characters:

First, in dealing with autoattack based characters, there is an inherent flaw in the attack-cycle/attack speed system that was originally built in the game. On one hand, each hit cycle has a maximum speed cap that can be reached fairly easily (depending on each toon) with a combination of various buffs. In fact ATKSPD is so readily available in this game that every character should assumed to be able to hit their attack speed cap with minimal chipping/buffs.

To address this, the easiest solution would be to readdress the speed caps for each individual character/stance that you want to update OR adjust the damage per cycle. Alternately, you could experiment with changes to ATKSPD as a whole... increasing damage per shot, but slowing the stance to a point where it would be more difficult (if not impossible) to ever hit the atkspeed/cycle CAP.

Secondly, Artifacts and Medals are an additional area where older toons significantly suffer. In most cases it is better to use one or two of the current most premium items with the best stats. This is an area where I feel it could be extremely benefical to update OLDER character specific artifact/medal items up to the current level of play. It may even be easier to make balance adjustments to these items (when attached to the appropriate character) rather than the changing the characters themselves -- giving the players the choice of using the character as originally designed... or using the updated values/system.

I do wonder if the revised DPS stances will perform on-par or only slightly worse than the CNC standard (70% to 100% of CNC DPS).
Or, will their DPS still fall far off from what CNC can do (<70% of CNC DPS)?

Some argue that as long as older stances are unable to do damage similar to CNC, they won't be used.

Overall, I love the direction that this is going. Keep up the good work.

I believe that was due to the 1-handed system that inadvertently buffed alot of characters to unstable proportions until they fixed it a few patches ago.

EDIT: also wrong calculations on their AGI stat buff.

Thats a great idea, buffing artifacts and medals for older characters too.

I like that idea .
personally I still think it should be a topic after we catching up to official server tho we are still missing a lot and let’s be honest I think most people playing this server because they want to enjoy official content such as characters, missions , maps, bosses without the steam paymentwall.

dont get me wrong I appreciate your work I’m just afraid we are loosing a lot of time catching up to official content

I agree with this. It's so cool to be able use older toons, I really like the idea... but I'd be fine if there's some kind of balance between this work and newer quests and maps we lack... I'm waiting for Altria Ep4 ^^;; Also... 1-handed system would be a great addition to boost older characters...

Anyways... keep up the good work, thanks guys!

I think that’s a great idea . With that being said , could we get the medal that is for stock characters ? I think that would help stock characters to be boosted for pve already

Example can modify equites to 3 hit instead 2 but need change ATK Animation [ATK="PC_ATK_EQT2"] for example [ATK="PC_ATK_HS"] this last is Holy Shield Atk Animation
